Michael James Slocum, age 32, of Stamford, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 31, after officers in New Canaan were dispatched to the area of South Avenue and Farm Road on a report of a road rage incident that had occurred between two motorists.

Slocum was identified as one of the operators of a vehicle that was involved in the incident that had initially occurred in Stamford, said Lieutenant Jason Ferraro of the New Canaan Police Department.

While officers were speaking with Slocum, they detected signs of impairment, Ferraro said.

Slocum refused to provide a blood-alcohol sample and was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a license.

He was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
